Safety/Volunteers

The CHCA Safety Workers and Volunteer team including Timing play a crucial role to the Club's function. Without them there would be no racers safely navigating these great mountain roads! Volunteers help with ticketing, timing and scoring, security and general operations of the race weekend.

 

 

 Flags of the CHCA Safety Net;

GREEN FLAG- The course is open for competition

YELLOW FLAG- Caution flag for drivers, displayed only on practice day

RED FLAG- The course is closed, all race vehicles stopped
CHECKERED FLAG- The finish line, run is complete

 

If you would like to join our team of volunteers and and have a great time at the races the CHCA always has an eye out for new volunteers! Get into the race for free; please contact the Safety Director on the Officials page and we'll see YOU at the races!!

Safetty Workers are drilled in CHCA safety proceedures preparing them for each race seaons. From flagging and fire suppression to driver extractment; knowing how to handle an emergency is important to everyone so training is on going and crucial.
