Greetings! Welcome to the 2010 race season and the CHCA web page! New you'll find a limited number of navigation menus to pick from to help streamline your desired interests. Each subsequent page will be edited fully independent of the others making changes, edits and omissions much easier than ever before. New to the site will be some features never before offered including; a Racer Spotlight, Club Business Corner, last years Champions listing, a CHCA History page, an ongoing Finish Results page and a few other things to come. The Club Business Corner is where you will find all those lastminute updates from Trudy so you'll want to check in there regularly for official notices. For what's happening at a glance check the Google Calendar also!
Also we will be looking to solicit page sponsors for each of the new pages with direct links to their business. Sure, this site is small and probably won't make your business rich overnight but for a minimal cost you can help the Club cover costs! In turn we ask that our membersss support these businesses whenever possible. Please see the Contact page for more information about becoming a page sponsor. We'll be requesting you submit some basic info to fill the new Driver Profilespage- check out those who have already for what's needed. You want to be in the Racer Spotlight? Submit a couple of paraghraphs as Dan has below!
Our links section will be open to related sites in hopes of building a wider fan base for all of us. Currently we are linking to PPIHC, Special Stage as well as theColorado Hill Climb and Rock Racer message boards. For those of you with parts to sell or trade you'll be able to post, edit and close your own posts on the message boards giving you a far larger audiance and greater control over your post! The CHCA webpage willl no longer be hosting those posts. The Rule Book and related forms such as Entry and Membership will be in pdf form as before to make page loading quick and easy. Safety has a general page for basic information and links to the former pdfs for your needs.
27th Annual CHCA Swap Meet is ON!
Clean out the garage and make some money. Sunday March 14th from 7:30am to 4pm at Pikes Peak International Raceway! Vendors, Swapers and Concessions for everyone. Bring the family and spend the day! HEY FANS:Want to get involved with the CHCA and not sure how? The CHCA is actively looking for new workers for the 2010 season! This month: Dan Novembre
Hello, I’m Dan Novembre. I’m 30 years old and in my second full year with the CHCA racing the #28 Super Sprint Wells Coyote. Having been a long time fan and spectator of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, I decided to fulfill a dream of mine that I have had since high school. This was fully realized last year by finishing the 2009 PPIHC in 7th place in the Open Wheel division.
My first year was a blast. Sure, the only trophies I got were broken car parts(including a stripped 2nd gear, fractured clutch pressure plate, failed fuel filter, bent body work, cracked radiator, and a failed slave cylinder), but nothing can compare to sliding around these mountain roads, flat out, spewing gravel all over the place.
It has been quite a learning experience, but that is exactly what I signed up for. I hope to continue to improve and be more competitive this year. There is nothing else like this and look forward to many years with the CHCA.
